April is National Volunteer Month and there are so many ways to volunteer at Walk With Sally. Mentoring, special events and fundraising are just a few but we have one special volunteer who uses your knowledge, patience and experience to provide free therapy to our mentors during our quarterly mentor round tables. Linda Maul, is currently the director and co-supervisor at Manhattan Beach Community Counseling. https://www.mbccounseling.org/
She also has a private practice in Redondo Beach specializing in helping you work through all of the various difficulties that can jeopardize the important relationships in our life. https://lindamaulcounseling.com/
Linda facilities the mentor round tables which are designed to bring mentors together who have been matched with their mentees for six months. We discuss highlights, concerns and victories of mentoring a child who has a parents or sibling that is impacted by cancer. It has a great opportunity for the mentors to ask a professional questions concerning their mentee and connect with other mentors in the mentoring program.
“The Mentor Roundtable is my favorite; I love listening to the mentors and tales of learning from/about their mentees.” Linda Maul
