Faces of Sally – Scott Cohen
When I joined Walk With Sally as a mentor in 2015, I didn’t know what kind of ride I was in for. Dylan, my mentee, lost his dad to cancer when he was 3 years old. I could related to losing a loved one to cancer because I lost my grandpa to the disease.
I’ve been mentoring Dylan for two years, and I can only hope that I’ve brought the same amount of happiness and perspective to his life that he’s brought to mine.
He’s 11 years old now and about to be a teenager soon. I want to just be there for him – as a friend and guiding influence – during these coming years.
