Take A Peek Inside Our Friendship Activity
This Sunday, August 19th we will be hosting our 5th Annual Surf Day Friendship Activity in partnership with JMMF! To showcase our incredible community we are inviting everyone to join our tribe for a community meditation. We hope participating with our mentors, mentees and families will inspire and connect supporters to our mission and intention to bring the community together. It is a meaningful opportunity for everyone to connect with their own cancer experiences, a way for supporters to see their donations in action, and a chance to personally feel the hope and inspiration Walk With Sally is creating for our community. You are cordially invited to share the experience with our mentors, mentees, families and volunteers. Our community will be guided through breath work meditation and possible visualization and move into light movement to connect their bodies to the present and create awareness of their surroundings internally as well as externally.
WLWN Breaks Records Again!
This year’s White Light White Night fundraiser on July 28th once again broke records in nearly every category for the organization. The event raised over $450,000 net thanks to 1000 attendees, some incredible auction items, and fun moments like when Chef Marcel Vigneron presented the Golden Spatula Award for favorite restaurant to our friends at Bettolino Kitchen for their delicious fresh pasta! Or how about that incredible flash mob from MusEffect?! Thank you to all of our generous supporters who made this another unforgettable event! Fred’s Future Scholarship Awards $5,000
We are beyond proud to have some incredible mentees graduating high school this year and pursuing their secondary education. So much so, that we are awarding $5,000 in scholarships through our Fred’s Future Scholarship program to help them with their back-to-school costs. Pictured above are three of our recipients, Max, Emily and Ronnie, posing with mentor, donor and supporter Maureen McBride, while volunteering at White Light White Night.
